National marketing of both rentals and sales at Underscar« Back to Questions List

Is the committee willing to address the problem of National marketing of Underscar which impacts all owners? At the moment there is no way of recognising that self catering accommodation exists at Underscar unless you already know of its existence! When you key in “self catering accommodation in the Lake District” or “5* accommodation in the Lake District” or any other generic search online, Underscar does not appear. Only when you key in “Underscar” ( I.e. have prior knowledge it exists) can you get into the Underscar online website . This means that rentals of stock weeks which accrue an income for the owners club is not being maximised on a national level . Regional holidays ( such as Scottish half term) are not therefore being adequately marketed online. Likewise for sales at Underscar. which appear to be growing in numbers . This means that marketing potential and earnings that have the capacity to reduce owners management fees is being lost. But also the problem of owners unable to sell their weeks needs a fresh marketing approach as the numbers on the online sales website grow. To rely solely upon prior knowledge or word of mouth does not seem a credible method to market Underscar at this moment in time and would appear to require further intervention. Are the committee fully aware and willing to address this concerning issue by improving awareness on a national scale to the benefit of all owners?
