An answer not a question ref dog kennels« Back to Questions List
In January 2022 I used a local kennel at Threlkeld which was wonderful. Large bright kennels with underfloor heating. It is not advertised but I recommend it and the owner, a local farmer, is wonderful and she is very good with dogs. I saw a post where someone was selling their unit because of lack of local kennels. It’s called Hairy Hound Hotel and was recommended by Podgy Paws. It’s on Facebook. The site is secure and is very busy with local customers.

Only just seen this post but we thoroughly recommend the Hairy Hound Hotel. Heidi is really lovely and very helpful and our dog seems happy to stay there. Most days at Underscar we collect her to take her out for the day but if our plans mean we need to leave her with Heidi, she has some great walks with her. |

Hi, they were great, Debbie is really friendly and coped with us worrying about his first time in kennels (probably just thought we were daft)! Even better is they have an arena (for ponies) that you can play with your dog, which we did before we took him out. |
Yes please! That would be really useful in case they are closed when I visit next year. Thank you. |
Unfortunately they are closed over Christmas when our week is. We have only had our dog since April but are trying Berrier Boarders near Greystoke, we visited earlier in the year and it looked good. We will have access to take him out as much as we like. |
