After an incredible sell out event back in April…George and Meera are back… with another fantastic fusion menu where Indian Street Food Meets the Lake District, bursting with flavour and locally sourced ingredients!
Since relocating from Bangalore to Ambleside in 2007, George and Meera have been driven by a vision and passion to bring the flavours of their Indian upbringing to their now home in Cumbria- focusing on sourcing only the highest quality local ingredients!
Trained as a chef in India, George honed his skills at culinary school, gaining experience in classic French, regional Indian, and Italian cuisine.
Following the success of their French-influenced English restaurants, Merienda Keswick and The Ivy House in Braithwaite, they are now returning to their roots with their latest venture, new Indian street food restaurant ‘Bagheera’ in Keswick. This follows the overwhelming popularity of their Keswick market stalls, which have already won the hearts of locals and visitors alike!
